Let's Travel More with AirAsia Zest

I love to travel and fly. I guess almost everyone does. To travel around the globe is one of my biggest dreams. Is that one of your dreams, too? Well, my family always makes it a point to travel at least once a year. We have already gone to the famous tourist destinations in the Philippines such as Boracay, Bohol, and Palawan; while in Asia, we have gone to China, HongKong (twice) and this year, we  visited the Lion City, Singapore (read my travel diary here). ❤

Now, we've been starting to plan trips for 2014. Here are the top 5 destinations we wish to visit soon:

And the top of the list goes to. . . Cebu, the Queen City of the South!

Despite what happen to Cebu lately (which made me sad yet appreciate everything I have), I still wanted to pursue on exploring the oldest city in the Philippines and discover its rich culture myself. If ever, we would like to visit Cebu during the Sinulog festival, so we can experience how joyous and pious the Sto Niño's feast day celebration is! I would also like to visit the historic Magellan's Cross, Fort San Pedro and the famous Badian Island Resort. If time permits, I wanted to experience diving in Cebu as well.

And before we go home, I promise to visit the Sky Experience Adventure at the Crown Regency Hotel and experience sky-thrilling activities such as the Edge Coaster, Sky Walk Extreme, and more!!

Next in the list is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, also known as the Golden Peninsula.

This 2014, we also opt to visit the capital city of Malaysia and explore its historic and culture-rich sights and attractions such as the Petronas Twin Towers, Menala KL Tower, Lake Gardens, and Batu Cave.

Third in the list is Incheon, South Korea, the city where arts, entertainment, fashion, history and nature are all rolled into one. We would probably enjoy events at the Arts Centre or discover local history at Liberty Park and Independence Memorial Hall, shop at Bupyeong district and head to the country's only official Chinatown for authentic cuisine and souvenirs. Then, we would perfectly end our day trip with a ferry ride to the nearby islands.

Second to the last destination is Cagayan de Oro, where I would want to experience once in a lifetime adventures like white water rafting at the Cagayan River, crossing the SkyBridge and experiencing the zipline at Macahambus Adventure Park.

Last but certainly not the least is Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. If I will be given a chance to stay at KK, I would like to get lost at Kota Kinabalu Central Market and Night Market, take a cultural/eco-tour at Bird Sanctuary and National Park, and experience the hot spring at Sabah.

Oh just thinking about these places makes me excited for next year. If only I had lots of money, I will surely visit all places in my destination wishlist. Hihi! Good thing though, our favorite and affordable domestic airline, Zest Air is making it possible, because it is now flying with AirAsia, the world's best low-cost airline. Yeah, you heard that right! Last September 20, 2013, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) approved "AirAsia Zest" as the new brand name of Zest Airways, Inc.

In accordance with the new branding, CAB also approved their new logo (see photo below), wherein "Zest" name has been incorporated into the iconic red hot circle, which is the signature logo of Air Asia.

Air Asia Zest Chairman Mikee Romero said, "We are excited to introduce AirAsia Zest and what it represents. With our alliance, we are well positioned to offer our guests the strength of our combined network of domestic and international routes and unrivaled daily low fares, proving a world class travel experience that every Filipino deserves."

He also added, "We hope this brand new look is the first of many steps towards making AirAsia Zest, an airline that continues to revolutionize air travel in the Philippines. We are geared up and committed to ensuring that AirAsia Zest lives up to the same incredibly high standards of AirAsia." No worries because along with this approval, the airline is currently updating its records with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to include the new business name "AirAsia Zest" in its permits with CAAP.

AirAsia Philippines also revealed that they're moving its flights from Clark Airport to NAIA Terminal 4 (Manila) in order to serve better more Filipinos who want to fly (like me lol). Every Filipino is now entitled to experience the "Right Way to Fly" as AirAsia Zest brings you to the following destinations:

For Domestic/Local:
Cebu, Davao, Kalibo (Boracay), Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran, and Cagayan de Oro

For International:
Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Shanghai, and Incheon

Yeeeeeeeeeey! With AirAsia and Zest's partnership, I am very sure that they will offer us more flight schedules with better value, take us to our dream destination at an affordable price, and experience one of a kind services across a combined larger network. We can now travel in the Philippines and Asia within our budget and within our means with Air Asia Zest.

How about you, where would you love to travel this 2014? Any plans? If you have no plans yet, what are you waiting for? Visit www.airasia.com.ph and check their affordable flight tickets for your trip!! :)
